A fabulous country house between the Tuscany hills, the agriturismo, Casale della Torre, is located in Cortona at the end of the beautiful treed avenue called Parterre. There are not many other locations that give you such a view of the valley. It is part of an 8 hectare farm with olive trees and woods; it’s a perfect place for walking to discover nature. From windows and the gardens, you can see an unbelievable view of Valdichiana, Lake Trasimeno and Montepulciano. The colors change with the seasons: the green of spring, the yellow of the grain in summer, the red of autumn and the white of the snow in winter. Guests can spend their time looking at the unforgettable sunsets.<\/p>\n
From the villa, it’s possible to reach the historical center in 10 minutes walking along the Parterre that is lit up for the evening. In the other direction, you can admire beautiful villas such as Bramasole, the home of famous author Frances Mayes. Also, in less than 20 minutes, you will arrive at Torreone, an old suburb under a medieval fortress called Girifalco. On this farm holiday you can enjoy the center of Cortona or relax at the villa in complete privacy.<\/p>\n
The Casale is a fabulous country house today, but in the past, it was a windmill to grind grain coming from the countryside all around Cortona. The oldest part of the house dates from 1400. It was part of the land holdings called Palazzone whose owners were noblemen from Cortona.<\/p>\n
The Casale is composed of two houses made of stone in perfect Tuscan style with wooden ceilings and tiled floors.<\/p>\n
All around the houses, you can find olive trees, gardens with wild flowers and plants and also a garden with vegetables and aromatic plants from which guests may pick. At the Casale, there is a beautiful infinity swimming pool with a large deck area with lounge chairs to spend time under the Tuscan sun.
